Terms of service

1. About AlcheYou and These Terms

This website www.alcheyou.co.uk (the "Site") is operated by Vaida Valskyte-Paulauskiene trading as "AlcheYou" ("AlcheYou", "we", "us", "our").

By visiting or using the Site, joining our Early Access list, placing a pre‑launch reservation, pre‑order or otherwise interacting with AlcheYou, you ("you", "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the Site or our services.

We may update these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Site after updates take effect means you accept the new Terms.

2. AlcheYou's Business Model and Current Status

2.1 Pre‑launch Phase

AlcheYou is currently in a pre‑launch validation phase. We are building a curated, multi‑brand K‑Beauty store offering AM/PM skincare "ceremonies" (full AM/PM routine sets) for three skin experiences: Radiance (dullness, uneven tone), Barrier (sensitivity, dryness), and Firmness (fine lines, loss of structure).

We do not yet have:

  •  a completed store or inventory;
  •  final products or packaging
  • regulatory approvals (Responsible Person registration, etc.)
  • a committed launch date.

2.2 What We Offer

Early Access (Stage 1):

  • Calm, focused skincare education emails tailored to your chosen skin concern
  •  Early looks at how we're curating your AM/PM ceremony concept
  •  A quiet first window if and when we decide to launch pre‑orders

Pre‑launch Reservations & Deposits (Stage 2, if and when we proceed):

  • The ability to reserve your AM/PM Ceremony Box with a small, fully refundable deposit (£10–£20)
  •  This demonstrates genuine interest so we can validate demand before entering full launch

2.3 No Guarantee of Launch

We do not guarantee that AlcheYou will proceed to launch, pre‑orders, or product delivery. If we decide not to proceed at any stage, we will refund all deposits in full (see Section 6: Pre‑launch Reservation Terms and Deposit Policy).

5.1 Ownership

All text, images, logos, graphics, videos, designs and other content on the Site and in our communications (together, "Content") are owned by or licensed to AlcheYou and are protected by UK and international copyright, trademark and intellectual property laws.

Third-party brand content

Product names, trademarks, logos and images of third-party brands remain the property of their respective owners and are used on this Site for the purpose of identifying and promoting authentic products sold by AlcheYou as an independent retailer.

No affiliation, endorsement or partnership is implied unless explicitly stated.

5.2 Limited License

You warrant that you own or have the right to share the content you submit.

6. Pre‑launch Reservation Terms and Deposit Policy

These terms apply only if and when we launch pre‑order / deposit functionality.

6.1 What Is a Pre‑launch Reservation?

A pre‑launch reservation is not a purchase of a finished product. It is:

  • A small, fully refundable deposit (typically £10–£20) that reserves your place in line
  • A signal to us that you are genuinely interested in the Ceremony Box you have chosen
  • A way for us to measure real demand before we commit to stock, regulatory compliance and import processes.

6.2 How Deposits Work

  • You choose your AM/PM Ceremony Box (Radiance, Barrier or Firmness) and place a deposit via Stripe or another secure payment processor
  • Your payment card is charged the deposit amount (e.g. £10)
  • You receive an immediate order confirmation email reiterating:

                ·  The deposit amount

·   Your chosen Ceremony Box

·   The terms of this deposit (fully refundable)

·   Expected timeline for launch (if applicable)

·   How to request a refund

6.3 Your Deposit Is Fully Refundable

Your deposit is 100% refundable at any time, no questions asked, under the following circumstances:

Before we launch:

  • If you change your mind or no longer want the Ceremony Box, you can request a refund at any time by emailing marketing@alcheyou.co.uk
  • We will process your refund within 5–10 working days, back to your original payment method (the card or account you used to pay)

If we don't launch:

  • If we decide not to proceed with AlcheYou or if we do not launch by a date we specify (e.g. 30 July 2026), we will automatically refund all deposits in full — you will not need to ask
  • You will receive an email notification explaining the decision and confirming the refund

If the product changes significantly:

  • If the final Ceremony Box contents, price or specifications change materially from what was previewed, you may request a refund and we will honour it

6.4 When Your Deposit Is Not Refundable

Your deposit is not refundable only if and when:

  • We have launched the full Ceremony Box and you have completed a full purchase (moving from deposit to full payment)

At that point, standard consumer rights apply (see Section 9: Consumer Rights and Returns).

6.5 How Your Deposit Is Used

  • Your deposit is held securely by our payment processor (Stripe) and is not spent or used by AlcheYou until you commit to a full purchase
  • If you request a refund before we launch, the deposit is returned to you immediately
  • If we proceed to full launch and you choose to purchase, your deposit goes towards the final product price (or is refunded if you choose not to proceed)

6.6 What Happens Next If We Launch

If we validate sufficient demand and decide to proceed:

  1. We will send Early Access subscribers a detailed offer showing the final Ceremony Box contents, exact ingredients and full price
  2. Deposit holders will have first right to convert their reservation into a full pre‑order
  3. At that point, you will be asked to pay the balance owed (full price minus deposit) via a separate invoice or checkout link
  4. Completing full payment triggers our commitment to source products, arrange delivery and other obligations

If you do not wish to proceed, we will refund your deposit in full.

7. Payment, Processing and Stripe

7.1 Payment Processing

We use Stripe (Stripe Payments Inc.) to process all payments, including deposits and future pre‑orders.

  • Stripe is a secure, PCI‑compliant payment processor
  • Your card details are not stored by AlcheYou — Stripe handles all payment information securely
  • By submitting payment details, you authorise Stripe to charge your card on our behalf

7.2 Card Information

You confirm that:

  • You are the legitimate cardholder or have authority to use the card
  • The card information you provide is accurate and current
  • You will not dispute a legitimate transaction unless there is a genuine error

7.3 Failed Payments

If a payment fails (e.g. insufficient funds, expired card), we will notify you and you may retry. If a payment is unsuccessful after a reasonable time, we may cancel your reservation without penalty.

7.4 Refund Processing

Refunds are processed back to your original payment method (the same card or account you used). This is a Stripe / card processor requirement. Refunds typically appear in your account within 5–10 working days, but may take longer depending on your bank.

8. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

8.1 No Medical Advice

All skincare content on the Site and in our emails is for general information and self‑care education only. It is:

  • Not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment
  • Not a substitute for professional medical or dermatological advice
  • Based on general knowledge about Korean skincare ingredients and practices

You are responsible for:

  • Consulting a dermatologist or healthcare professional if you have specific skin concerns, conditions or allergies
  • Patch‑testing new products before full use
  • Reading product ingredient lists and checking for any substances you are sensitive to
  • Seeking professional advice if you experience any adverse reactions

8.2 No Guarantees

We do not guarantee that:

  • Any skincare product or ingredient will suit your specific skin type or condition
  • Results shown in images or testimonials will be achieved by you
  • Any product or Ceremony Box will be launched, available or delivered by a specific date
  • The Site or our emails will be error‑free, uninterrupted or free from viruses
  • Any information on the Site is complete, accurate or up‑to‑date

8.3 Use at Your Own Risk

You use the Site and accept our services (Early Access emails, pre‑launch reservations, etc.) at your own risk. We are not liable for:

  • Direct or indirect loss of income, profits, revenue or goodwill
  • Loss of data, files or personal information
  • Any special, incidental, punitive or consequential damages
  • Any damage to your device or software

This applies to the fullest extent permitted by UK law, except where liability cannot be excluded or limited (for example, liability for fraud or personal injury caused by our negligence).

8.4 Third‑party Links

The Site may contain links to third‑party websites (e.g. Korean skincare brands, suppliers, payment processors). We are not responsible for:

  • The content, accuracy or security of third‑party sites
  • Any transactions or agreements you make with third parties
  • Any loss or damage arising from your use of third‑party sites

You should review third‑party privacy and security policies before using their services.

9. Consumer Rights and Returns

9.1 Early Access (No Purchase)

Because Early Access is not a purchase (it is free education), standard consumer returns rights do not apply. However, you have:

  • The right to unsubscribe from emails at any time (see Section 3.3)
  • The right to request that we delete your data (subject to legal limits)

9.2 Pre‑launch Reservations (Deposits)

Because deposits are reservations, not finished purchases, standard consumer rights apply only once you commit to a full purchase.

However, your deposit is 100% refundable under the circumstances described in Section 6.3, which is a stronger protection than standard consumer law.

9.3 Once a Full Purchase Is Made

Once you convert your deposit into a full pre‑order or make a full purchase:

  • UK consumer law applies fully
  • You have a 14‑day right to cancel (distance purchases) once you receive the goods
  • We will provide a Returns Policy at the time of purchase
  • We will comply with all consumer protection and unfair contract terms laws

10. Data Protection and Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

By using the Site or joining Early Access, you consent to the collection, use and processing of your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.

You have rights under UK GDPR and UK data protection law (see Privacy Policy, Section 7: Your Rights).

11. Limitation on Representations

11.1 Founder Story and Brand Promise

AlcheYou's mission is to make K‑Beauty less overwhelming and more meaningful for 30+ people through curated AM/PM ceremonies. Our brand voice emphasises calm, clarity and ritual.

However:

  • This mission and brand voice do not create legal promises about product efficacy, launch dates or outcomes
  • Any claims about skincare benefits are general education, not medical claims
  • We are not liable if our brand promise does not match your personal experience or expectations

11.2 No Representations About Future Products

We do not represent or guarantee that:

  • We will curate products from specific Korean brands (all subject to availability and sourcing)
  • Ceremony Boxes will contain exactly the products previewed during validation
  • Prices will remain as estimated (prices may change before launch)
  • Any particular ingredient or formula will be included

We will provide full transparency once we move to full pre‑orders, but during validation, we are still confirming suppliers and specifications.

12. Compliance, Intellectual Property and Brand

12.1 Responsible Person and Regulatory Compliance

When AlcheYou launches full product sales, we will comply with all UK cosmetics regulations, including:

  • Registering a Responsible Person (RP) with the UK Cosmetics Authority
  • Meeting labelling, ingredient and safety requirements
  • Maintaining proper records and testing

During validation (Early Access and deposits), no Responsible Person is required because we are not yet selling physical cosmetics — we are validating demand for a concept.

12.2 Your Right to Use Our Brand Name

You may not use the AlcheYou name, logo or trademarks in any way without our express written permission. This includes:

  • Creating derivative brands or products using "AlcheYou"
  • Misrepresenting yourself as AlcheYou or an authorised representative
  • Registering domains or social media accounts under AlcheYou's name

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

13.1 Governing Law

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising from them or your use of the Site are governed by English law.

13.2 Jurisdiction

You and AlcheYou agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your home courts, in addition to the courts of England and Wales.

13.3 Dispute Resolution (Informal First Step)

Before initiating legal proceedings, we encourage you to try to resolve any dispute informally by emailing vaida.vvp@alcheyou.co.uk with:

  • A description of the issue
  • What outcome you are seeking
  • Any supporting information

We will respond within 14 days and make a good‑faith effort to resolve the matter.

14. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable by a court, that part will be removed or modified to the minimum extent necessary, and the remainder of the Terms will continue to apply.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and AlcheYou regarding your use of the Site and our services. They supersede all prior conversations, representations and agreements (whether written or oral).

If there is a conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy, the Privacy Policy controls with respect to personal data, and these Terms control for everything else.

  • Changes in our business or services
  • Changes in the law or regulatory requirements
  • Operational or technical improvements
